Please be advised that due to power flow issues arising from a forced outage of the Arklow-Carrickmines 220 kV circuit, EirGrid has developed a number of operational mitigation measures that firstly seek to avoid an impact on wind generation in the region and secondly, when required, to minimise the level of wind constrained.

To achieve this, a new temporary wind constraint group in the South East of Ireland has been created, which will remain in place for the duration of the forced outage or until a temporary network reinforcement is introduced. Further detail is contained in the South East Constraint Group Information Note available at the link here.
