The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial
Strategy (BEIS) is to bring forward legislation in the Autumn no longer recognising
EU Guarantees of Origin (GoOs). UK REGOs have not been recognised within the EU
since January 2021. On July 8th, the Department for the Economy
(DfE) published a consultation inviting views from stakeholders on how this may
effect generators, suppliers and consumers within Northern Ireland.
