Dear Market Participant,

We would like to provide Participants with notification of a Balancing Market outage next week on Monday 05th December 2022. This is subject to system operational conditions at the time.

This outage is to facilitate the production deployment of Release J and is scheduled to run between 20:00 on the 05th of December and 12:00 on the 06th of December.

Please note that the BMI will not be available during this time.

Due to the duration of this outage please be aware that prior to the BMI being taken down we will publish an LTS run. Once the release is completed SEMO will advise that the BMI is available again to Participants.

The reason for the longer period of outage is that in addition to the Release J functionality, infrastructure upgrades are also being deployed. There is a  opportunity for each Participant to submit any updated COD, Forecast Availability and PNs once the systems are restored. Once the BMI is made available there will be a window of time for Participants to submit data before the Gate Window Closure at 13:30 on the 6th of December.

Once the BMI is available and normal submission of market data begins to flow through the systems, we will need a period of review and to publish a series of Schedules in advance of restoring the Imbalance Price.

The Market Back-Up Price will be used for the duration of this outage.

A notification will be sent once the outage begins, and again upon completion of the outage.
